There are a lot of reasons for this and it has taken many many nights of me talking to him about it with both of up being completely honest. I know you night think that he is probably not being honest with me, but I am sure that he is. I know more details about what he has done and his thoughts behind it than I ever really wanted to know, if he wasn't being honest why would he tell me all of this?
